The era began after King of the Ring 1993 with Hulk Hogan leaving WWE, and it ended four years later at Survivor Series 1997 with its successor the Attitude Era being much stronger. Nevertheless, the New Generation Era saw the WWE European Championship created in addition to the WWE, Intercontinental, Women's, and Tag Team Championships.
