WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE television since SummerSlam 2023. After finishing off his trilogy of matches with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, he took a break from WWE and there were plans originally in place for Lesnar to make his return during the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble match. However, those plans were scrapped completely off the table once the news broke that Lesnar was accused of being linked to the Vince McMahon sex trafficking scandal that turned the corporate world of WWE (TKO) upside down. Lesnar was erased from WWE and with good reason. Now, it seems that he's possibly been reinstated, and the company is currently working on a creative plan to bring him back into the fold.

The Beast Incarnate Is A Mult-Time World Champion In WWE
Brock Lesnar made his official WWE debut following a successful stint with OVW's developmental camp. He was part of the breakout group during the tail end of the "Ruthless Aggression" era that also included future WWE legends and stars such as John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, and Shelton Benjamin. He made a big splash in his WWE debut on Monday Night Raw in 2002, targeting the likes of Spike Dudley, The Hardy Boys, and Lita. Paul Heyman aligned himself with Lesnar as his new advocate and the rest was history.
Brock's WWE career continued to bloom and blossom, as his star power began to rise. He captured his first WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2002 by defeating The Rock. He went on to have a few historical rivalries with the likes of Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and The Undertaker. In early 2004, heading into WrestleMania 20, Brock's contract was going to be up, and he turned down a multi-million dollar offer to stay with WWE, and started a very short career with the NFL instead. He wrestled his last match at the event, losing to WCW legend, Goldberg.
Lesnar left the pro wrestling world behind until 2012. During that time away, his stint with the NFL didn't work out too well, but he did deliver a heck of a knockout punch to the world of the octagon, as he began a successful career with the UFC. Brock made his WWE return and feuded with John Cena. His career became bigger than ever, picking up where he had left off eight years prior. Between 2012 through 2023, Lesnar won multiple WWE Championships, ended The Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak, and wrecked havoc across the company every step of the way.
Latest Update On Brock Lesnar's Status With WWE
WWE fans anxious to see Brock Lesnar will be waiting for a very long time before he makes a potential return.Brock Lesnar's Connection With The Vince McMahon Sex Trafficking Scandal
Janel Grant Filed A Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon
As news broke regarding the terrible and heinous sex trafficking scandal involving former WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, there were several parties listed in the claim of the victim, Janel Grant, a former WWE Global Headquarters employee who made the claim that McMahon and John Laurinitis sexually assaulted her between 2020 and 2021. Brock Lesnar was also mentioned in the lawsuit, though not by name. Despite being linked to the allegations, Brock never publicly spoke about it and has remained quiet.
WWE took the necessary steps to remove Brock Lesnar completely from the organization during this time. All of his WWEShop merchandise was marked down and put on clearance. He was removed as a playable character in WWE 2K24 (aside from his 2K Showcase matches), along with being replaced on the cover for the "40 Years of WrestleMania". Lesnar was also taken out from the upcoming season release of WWE Supercard.
The biggest blow was at the 2024 Royal Rumble, where plans were originally made for Lesnar to return as a surprise entrant. Those plans were nixed, and his spot was given to former NXT World Champion, Bron Breakker. Since then, there have been some rumblings circulating the web that WWE is preparing to bring Lesnar back soon. This is where things get sketchy.
Behind-The-Scenes Push to Bring Brock Lesnar Back To WWE [Report]
Despite uncertainty surrounding his involvement in the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, a report suggests WWE would like to bring Brock Lesnar back.Bringing Back Brock Lesnar Would Be A Horrible Look For WWE
Brock Lesnar Was Added Back To WWE's Main Roster Page
Given what we know about the allegations and the obvious damage those allegations did to WWE (and TKO), a bigger blow was dealt when Brock Lesnar's name was brought into the picture. WWE has apparently added him back to the main roster page. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is pushing hard creatively to bring Lesnar back into the picture. He said:
"In the last few days, there have been moves regarding Brock Lesnar... There are movements to bring him back.” (H/T: SEScoops )
Bringing Brock Lesnar back, especially before WrestleMania 40, would be the stupidest move that WWE could do. The sex trafficking scandal is still ongoing and Lesnar hasn't been cleared of those allegations. The fact that his name is linked to the scandal is bad enough, and WWE should keep their distance from Lesnar's until the smoke has completely cleared on the situation. Furthermore, there is no reason to have Brock back on the card heading into WrestleMania or beyond. A future showdown between him and Gunther would be intriguing to see, but depending on what happens with Brock, that could be put on hold forever.
Bottom line: WWE should not even begin to entertain the idea of Brock Lesnar coming back. Let the scandal play out in court and make your company decisions based on whether Brock was involved, then take the next appropriate steps to avoid any future backlash.
