During the first night of the Superstar Shakeup, 19 WWE Superstars moved from SmackDown Live to Raw, while only one name was confirmed for the Blue Brand. That one WWE Superstar was The Miz and he'll be splitting from The Miztourage as he makes his way to Tuesday nights.

Considering how talented The Miz is, and how well he did on SmackDown Live during his first run after the brand split, it's not a shock to see him go back to where he really started to skyrocket in popularity. Yet, there have to be multiple reasons why WWE felt this was the right time to pull the trigger on a move.

In an attempt to figure out the decision, here are the best theories for why The Miz was moved back to SmackDown Live.

The Miz: A Star With A Mic

Via givemesport.com

Sometimes the best explanation is the simplest one, and that could be that WWE views The Miz as a star that can carry a show if need be. On Raw, he's quite popular, but on SmackDown Live, he'll be viewed as a guy who needs to be the top heel and most hated bad guy on the show. He's likely up to the challenge, and WWE knows it.

Because he calls it like it is, he'll still be popular on SmackDown, but the blue brand needed someone they could call their best-talking heel. With Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn moving to Raw, Shinsuke Nakamura was the only guy left as a top heel. While he's great in the ring, his mic work leaves little to be desired. With The Miz on SmackDown, he becomes the show's best mic worker by a long shot.

The Rivalries Are Endless

Outside of an obvious feud with Daniel Bryan that is certain to happen upon The Miz's arrival, think about all the fresh matches The Miz can have on SmackDown Live. He can do much more entertaining work on Tuesdays than he was going to do on Raw this year.

The Miz might be one of the few people who can make Randy Orton less snore-worthy, The Miz could have magic with AJ Styles, he can get into it with Shane McMahon, and the idea of the verbal battles he could have with Paige just bring a smile to your face.

Let's not forget about the unfinished business he has with Bryan after how he ran the leader of the Yes! Movement through the ringer when Bryan was general manager. The Miz was ruthless and he's got something awful coming to him.

Chemistry and New Friends

via wwewrestlingnetwork.com

Perhaps there's something to the idea of WWE wanting to put wrestlers with chemistry together. The Miz and Asuka clearly had it for their Mixed Match Challenge days, and it could be as simple as WWE wants to keep these two on the same show.

If Asuka ends up becoming a SmackDown Live superstar—which she's rumored to be— The Miz and The Empress of Tomorrow could team together or have some very interesting moments on television. Would WWE consider turning Asuka heel to work with The Miz? Or, would The Miz eventually go "good" to work with Asuka?

A New Miztourage

via wwe.com

If the pair of Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas go on to find success on their own, The Miz will have done something few others can brag to have done—make Axel and Dallas popular. If he can have this kind of success with these two, would it not stand to reason he could have this success with two other lesser talents and try to elevate them up a level?

WWE could be using The Miz to start a new Miztourage, and that could be interesting to see who he picks from SmackDown Live to be his new whipping posts.

There are many reasons WWE might have moved The Miz, but the one thing we know is that his feud with Daniel Bryan should be legendary and he's shaping up to potentially be the star of the year on the blue brand.
