The Undertaker has started to book appearances outside of WWE and it would seem that he is not allowed to use the moniker that has made him famous.

If there was one wrestler Vince McMahon thought he could count on to show him unwavering loyalty, it was The Undertaker. Now we currently have little idea how strong the relationship between Taker and McMahon currently is. The Deadman has begun booking non-wrestling appearances away from WWE and while no one knows for sure, the rumor is that the chairman is extremely unhappy about it.

The thing that will have hurt Mr. McMahon most about these recent events is the revelation that Taker will be at Starrcast II. The common misconception being made is that Starrcast is an event run by All Elite Wrestling. That is not the case and Conrad Thompson simply runs Starrcast alongside other events. This time it will be Double Or Nothing and last time it was All In.

Despite The Undertaker going by the same ring name for almost three decades, it would appear that he is not allowed to use it for his non-WWE appearances. On the Starrcast website, and in social media posts advertising Taker's appearance, he is listed as "Mark Calaway aka The Undertaker." WWE clearly owns the name and despite The Phenom's contributions to the company, it is unwilling to bend the rules for the veteran.

Further evidence suggesting Taker cannot use his famous ring name was pointed out by Wrestling News. Rapper and avid wrestling fan Bad Bunny released a video this week hyping an upcoming show of his in Puerto Rico. Undertaker makes a brief appearance during the clip and refers to himself as The Deadman rather than The Undertaker.

WWE is well known for being pretty petty when it comes to these matters. Not letting wrestlers use personas they came up with in WWE, or changing their names when they arrive so the company owns it. What shocks us is that they didn't make an exception for The Undertaker. Not many have done more for WWE than The Deadman. Perhaps WrestleMania 35 might really be the first 'Mania for 19 years where we don't see The Deadman.
