Tattoos are always a brilliant way to show someone's personality. Not only can they look very cool and aesthetic on someone's skin, but they also show part of who they are. In the wrestling industry, tattoos also stand apart from their peers. In wrestling, tattoos can help wrestlers by adding details to their looks and can help make a good wrestler look great.

Sadly, not all tattoos look good. How good a tattoo looks is very subjective, but there will always be a tattoo that makes anybody cringe inside. Impact Wrestling (formerly known as TNA) unfortunately also has a tattoo Hall of Shame, with a gallery of some of the worst tattoos to ever grace any wrestling company.

10 Christian

Christian Cage's Bulldog Tattoo

Christian jumped ship from WWE to TNA in late 2005, mainly because he felt he needed to take that next step and become a main-eventer. He made an instant impact in TNA and had a brilliant run as NWA World Champion with the company.

Unfortunately, one prominent sight that was present during this fiery run was a blob of a tattoo on his left arm. This tattoo could look excellent if the details were fine-tuned, but it wasn't to be. What was meant to be a bulldog slowly became an unrecognizable blob due to him not touching up on the tattoo and letting it fade.

9 Lance Archer/ Lance Hoyt

Lance Archer is currently a pretty prominent member of the AEW roster, having wrestled in AEW since 2020 after a run in NJPW. Archer has also worked in the WWE in the past and has spent a good chunk of his career in TNA as Lance Hoyt.

Lance's tramp stamp, which was first seen in TNA, breaks from the Murderhawk's look. Right above his butt, the tattoo looks and feels out of place. It adds a jokey look and is unusual on a terrifying monster of a man.

8 The Sandman

The Sandman in TNA

The Sandman is an ECW Legend, who has been a part of the extreme company's greatest moments and is a name synonymous with the hardcore promotion. It will still be both a surprise and not much of one to know that the Hardcore Icon also wrestled multiple times in TNA.

Unfortunately, along with the beers, and the sheer energy the man brings, those appearances also tortured viewers with his tattoo, the one on his right arm. It is very literally a tattoo of himself bordered by barbed wire. The art is not the worst, but the very idea of a wrestler having a tattoo of himself on his arm makes people confused about it.

7 Ron Harris

The Harris Brothers have worked for more than 20 years in most major promotions. Hulking monsters of men, they have taken many names and identities in those years, with maybe only the duo being a team being the only constant this whole while.

That is not fully true, however. Both the Harris Brothers and especially Ron Harris have worked their entire careers with SS tattoos on their forearms. They worked in major promotions with tattoos commemorating Hitler's paramilitary outfit, not even trying to hide them. Ron even went on TV with an SS T-shirt while part of Vince Russo Sports Entertainment Xtreme. That they have had such a long career is a travesty.

6 Wes Brisco

Wes Brisco is a member of the esteemed Brisco family. The nephew of Jack Brisco and the son of Gerald Brisco, the younger man was in TNA most prominently as a member of Aces and Eights.

The tattoos on his upper body actually look pretty good. They add detail to him while it does not look cluttered. The tattoos on his legs however are a completely different matter. Some sort of tribal skeletal design, they do not look good, and they look even worse on his legs.

5 Abyss

TNA Wrestling Showed How To Not Book A Monster With Abyss

Abyss was a long-time TNA employee, and original. Having begun his career as the unbeatable monster, Abyss has accomplished pretty much everything there was in TNA, and even turned down a WrestleMania program with the Undertaker to stick with the company.

The only thing scarier than him is his tattoos. They feel very jagged and out of place on him, making a mess of a monster. The tattoo on his left arm is tribal but looks like a bunch of weird lines on him. It added too many details to a man who had a brilliant mask and look already.

4 Mr. Anderson

mr-kennedy-wrestler-tattoos

One of the most talented wrestlers to have been struck by the worst luck, Mr. Anderson ended up in TNA after his unfortunate run in WWE as Mr. Kennedy. He has had some impressive work in TNA, and a good career in the promotion.

Unfortunately, along with his talented wrestling, Anderson also brought over his horrendous shoulder tattoos with him. The tattoo on his shoulder/back is very prominent and is already talked about as one of the worst wrestling tattoos, but the jester on his shoulder only adds to the bad tattoo list on Anderson's body.

3 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan back tattoo

Hulk Hogan has had some brilliant runs outside the WWE, as his work in the AWA, and especially as the leader of the nWo in WCW. He has made legendary moments in his career, and despite him not being the best person, he is still one of the most popular wrestlers in history.

His run in TNA is completely an exception to that, and his tattoo is only proof of that. His tattoo is on his back, with the word 'Immortal' written. The font used on the tattoo makes it look very edgy, and the tattoo itself looks absolutely horrendous.

2 Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner chest tattoo

Scott Steiner is a legendary wrestler at this point, who has had many career peaks, not only alongside his brother Rick Steiner but also as a singles wrestler in both WCW and TNA. A wild run in TNA only cemented his legacy, with some legendary promos and matches in his time at TNA.

Steiner did not have a tattoo his entire career, and one day he just showed up with a huge ugly sword on his chest. He also got tribal tattoos on his arm and some skeletal thing on his back. Individually, each tattoo is horrendous, but it creates a new flavor of bad when seen together.

1 Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan is a former two-time TNA World Champion, who is currently a City Commissioner in Longwood, Florida. He had been an active part of TNA from 2007, wrestling till 2013 for the company.

Matt Morgan probably has the worst tattoo of any wrestler in the business, with an unfinished tattoo that rests on his back. Meant to represent a beast or monster when finished, it instead looks like a bunch of lines a child with a crayon drew on his back, imagining it to be something scary. What could have been something scary and cool just looks like the laziest attempt at a tattoo in wrestling history.
