Even though WWE's weekly shows never stop, for some reason the company insists on having season premieres. Raw's annual premiere aired on Monday night and credit where it's due to WWE, it managed to cram a lot more than usual into the three hours. Brock Lesnar is back, D-Generation X celebrated the group turning 25, and The Good Brothers returned to lend AJ Styles a hand.
Seth Rollins Is A Two-Time Grand Slam Champion
There was also a title change as Seth Rollins defeated Bobby Lashley to become the United States Champion. The aforementioned Lesnar decided to go after Lashley upon his return, suitably softening him up before Rollins swooped in. The All Mighty put up an impressive fight considering he had just been flattened via an F5, but couldn't withstand Rollins' onslaught even though the new champion was still feeling the effects of stepping into the Fight Pit at Extreme Rules.

Rollins etched his name in WWE's history books yet again on Monday for a number of reasons. Not just because he's the new US Champion, but also because he is now a two-time Grand Slam Champion. The ruling that has been in place since 2015 dictates a Superstar must have won the US and Intercontinental Championships, and also boast reigns with a World and a Tag Team Title.
Up There With The Miz
Prior to this week's Raw, the only Superstar to have achieved that feat twice under the new format was The Miz. The A-Lister cashed in Money in the Bank to become WWE Champion in 2021, the second time he has won the title and he had already held the other aforementioned championships at least twice each. Miz often boasts being the only two-time Grand Slam Champion in WWE, something he will no longer be able to do.
The requirements to become a Grand Slam Champion have changed over time. Wrestlers previously needed to win the Hardcore or European Titles to qualify, and different championships have fallen by the wayside or been added as what is available has changed. That means a number of others like Chris Jericho and Triple H are technically two-time Grand Slam Champions too, but not under the new rules.
