Road Dogg has been released from hospital following an apparent heart attack suffered last Thursday night. The WWE Hall of Famer was reported to have been admitted to a medical facility, with his wife Tracy James later asking for prayers via a Facebook post.
Tracy revealed Road Dogg, real name Brian James, took ill after returning from WWE NXT tapings. On Tuesday morning, she announced he was being released from hospital, with all signs positive.

The former WWE superstar has since taken to Facebook to provide an update, telling fans he's been let out but will need to make changes with regards to his health. James also thanked everyone who reached out with kind words, encouragement and prayers.
“To God be the glory, I live to tell the story! I’m headed home," he wrote. "I’ve got some work to do and some changes to make but I’m up to the task. I want to thank EACH and EVERY one of you for your thoughts and prayers and your kind words. So many reached out with positive vibes and it overwhelmed me with love. Thank you all and God is good! Let the journey begin! #OUDK # GBU #LIVEARMSTRONG."
An Important Figure Backstage
Road Dogg is an important part of the production affairs at NXT but there's nothing on whether he will be back working for the brand's Takeover: Stand and Deliver next week.
He is reported to have taken over things alongside Shawn Michaels when Triple H entered quarantine on the back of the rumored COVID-19 outbreak at NXT week before last.
As seen above, James' brother, WWE producer Scott Armstrong was also happy to share the news of his release from hospital.
