This past week has been one of the wilder ones in wrestling, and odds are things will probably get a little bit wilder over the course of the weekend. On Friday, Vince McMahon stepped back as the CEO and chairman of WWE, being replaced by Stephanie McMahon pending the results of an investigation. Front and center of that investigation is the accusation that Vince had an affair with a WWE paralegal and then paid her $3 million to keep quiet.

Of Course Caster Rapped About It

News of an investigation broke on Wednesday, giving Max Caster plenty of time to formulate a line or two for his rap later that day. For those unfamiliar with AEW's The Acclaimed, Caster raps on his way to the ring for their matches. Those raps tend to include references to relevant pop culture, including shots at other wrestling companies should the opportunity arise.

When news of the allegations against McMahon broke, Caster reacted by posting a gif of someone jotting down ideas on Twitter. Although Caster didn't appear on Dynamite that night, he did wrestle in a tag match on Friday's Rampage. Rampage was actually taped on Wednesday this week, hence the rap referencing Vince, but not making any mention of the progression that story made throughout Friday.

"Somebody Made Me Sign An NDA"

Even though it was a reference to a sensitive situation, and Vince has stepped back as CEO since Rampage was taped, the line referencing what's going on in Caster's rap still made the Rampage cut. In fact, AEW even posted the rap on Twitter. “Honestly I had something to say, but somebody made me sign an NDA,” Caster raps. Subtle enough to get away with, and certainly not the most controversial Caster line to have made it onto AEW programming.

Caster also mentioned the riots at the US Capitol in his ring entrance rap on Friday. That infamous day in US history has been back in the news recently, hence Caster's reference to it. Its re-introduction to the news cycle also prompted Mick Foley to request WWE remove Donald Trump from the Hall of Fame for a second time.
