Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James claimed to have played Games 2-4 of this year's NBA Fnals with a 'broken hand', wearing a brace on his right hand during the post-match press conference following his team's sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

Sources reported that the player punched a whiteboard in frustration following Game 1's disappointment, and James went on to reveal he played the remaining games badly injured.

"What happened, self-inflicted," he said. "Post-game after Game 1, very emotional.

"For a lot of different reasons, understanding how important a game is on the road for our ball club, what [winning it] would have done for us. The way we played, the calls that were made throughout the course of that game, and I had emotions that the game was taken away from us.

"I had emotions that you just don't get an opportunity like this on the road against Golden State to be able to get a Game 1. I let the emotions get the best of me and pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand."

The veteran forward's comments did leave many eyebrows raised, given he played as he would normally and never looked to be in any kind of pain. But footage of LeBron doing push-ups prior to Game 2 has since surfaced to possibly erase all doubts over his health over the duration of the series.

Another video of LeBron sharing handshakes with his sons has also cast serious doubt on his injury claims.

The reports of his broken hand did seem to overshadow the Warriors' achievement over the weekend. But they did seem rather carefree during their victory parade in Oakland on Tuesday as they celebrated their third NBA Championship capture in the last four years.

Ever the instigator, Draymond Green used the opportunity to troll King James with his t-shirt, which bore the 'Arthur' fist with the word 'Mood' below - something James had posted on his Instagram earlier in the season - but wearing three rings.
