It's a well-known fact among wrestlers and fans alike that no one ever truly retires in this business. Wrestlers often announce their retirement, only to come back and make money off "one last match," only to rinse and repeat the process. Others, like Bryan Danielson and Edge, retire due to legitimate injuries but are able to make unexpected recoveries and return to the ring.

Will The Big Red Machine Return To WWE?
During an interview with PWMania, Kane was asked about the possibility of coming back to WWE and having one more match. While he didn't confirm any definite plans, he is not saying no, either.
I’ll always leave that door open. In WWE we never say never. I don’t know what will happen. I do some stuff here and there in the WWE. That’s a part of me and it’s something I enjoy and want to do for the rest of my life. If it’s something in the ring, I don’t know. Maybe you have to ask Kane that question.
Kane also spoke about being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and how honored he is to be in the company of names like Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino.
It’s the pinnacle of what we do. There aren’t that many people in it. To be honored like that with people I watched, and idolized as a kid growing up like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and of course Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Bruno Sammartino, it’s hard to believe that I’m in there too. It’s hard for me to think I belong in that group. It’s a tremendous compliment, and still, even now it’s almost surreal to even think about.- Kane (via PWMania)
