For nearly twenty years throughout WWE and WCW, "The Macho Man" Randy Savage was able to lay claim to being one of the greatest superstars of all time. He was also able to do so utilizing beautiful valets like Miss Elizabeth and Sensational Sherri. Depending on whether he was working heel or babyface, Savage treated his ladies very differently. Up until this point during the Expansion Era, fans hadn’t seen these sort of pairings before.

Thanks to Savage (and certainly Liz and Sherri were not slouches in their roles), both The First Lady and The Sensational Queen became even bigger stars for sharing the squared circle with The Macho Man. However, when he tried to recreate some of that magic with Stephanie Bellars, aka Gorgeous George; The Macho Man entered an odd stage of his storied career.
Randy Savage Met Gorgeous George At A Strip Club
Never mind what stories you might have read or heard about Bellars, or what she had said on the WWE A&E Biography, just judging on physical looks alone, it’s easy to see why plenty of people, including the Macho Man, would be infatuated with her. According to her, the pair had met when she was a dancer at The Dollhouse in Tampa and the two more or less became an item.
Because of Savage’s relationship with Eric Bischoff, and of course his legendary track record, he was able not only to have Bellars keep him company on the road, but he was also able to get her a gig as part of a trio valets that made up Team Madness. She was christened Gorgeous George, in honor of the first ever WWE champion. Savage actually had bought the gimmick off of the superstar, not necessarily for Bellars, but that’s how it worked out.
Gorgeous George Becomes A Part Of Team Madness
One of the better parts of the dying days of WCW was indeed Team Madness. While it was centered around The Macho Man, Savage had used Sid as a heater along with a pair of great female workers - Madusa and Miss Madness (aka Molly Holly). George began her run as window dressing on the arm of her man both in the ring and real life. She made her first appearance at the 1999 Spring Stampede, despite Savage just being the referee for the evening.

A month later, after learning a few moves backstage thanks to Miss Madness and Madusa, George found herself in a match against Lil’Naitch, taking someone’s spot on the card to have a silly match with Charles Robinson, which for some reason had Savage’s career on the line. She also helped The Macho Man pull the wool over Kevin Nash’s eyes on the road to once again becoming WCW champion, but no matter what she did or how she was booked, it was clear that Bellars wasn’t going to be able to hold a candle to any valet, let alone the legends Randy was already associated with.
Gorgeous George Doesn't Have Good Things To Say About Randy Savage
With her career in WCW lasting less than a year, George would then meander around a few promotions for another year or two before leaving the industry. Late last year however, she reared her less than gorgeous attitude on the A&E Biography special for Randy Savage. While there have been several stories over the years painting Randy as a complete paranoid and delusional person, George came right out and said some horrible things about the Macho Man that made him out to be far more of a criminal and a creeper than just an overprotective maniac.
No matter what did or did not happen in their personal life, The Macho Man and Team Madness was an interesting part of the dying days of WCW, but even Savage couldn’t three-peat in making yet another pairing with a valet not only work, but make another woman a star in the process. Unlike Miss Elizabeth and Sherri, it was clear that George was nothing more than just Randy Savage’s girlfriend that he helped to get a job.
