Nowadays, NXT might be one of the top wrestling brands around, but people sometimes forget that it all began as a gameshow. The series had different seasons and saw young talents compete against each other both in the ring and in challenges.

While people often talk about the season one competitors, because they became Nexus, season two also featured some great names. But how did their careers pan out, who found success and who flopped, let's take a look.
8 Lucky Cannon
While the NXT game show seasons certainly did create some fantastic stars, Lucky Cannon wasn't one of them. Despite the fact he flourished within season two and seemed to have all the tools, he didn't manage to develop after that point.

He didn't last long in WWE after this show and his wrestling career, in general, didn't last long after this point as he ended up leaving the industry after a brief run on the independent scene.
7 Eli Cottonwood
Eli Cottonwood is further proof that not everyone who was involved in the NXT season two was a success. He had the size and the look to be a big star in WWE and it appeared that was going to be the case, but things just didn't work out.
Eli was almost a member of the Wyatt Family at one stage, but that didn't end up happening and instead, his WWE career fizzled out and ended up being forgotten by most fans.
6 Kaval
If Kaval had signed with WWE when NXT was what it is today, he would have been a huge star, because he is exactly what the company looks for now. As Low Ki, he is one of the most well-known and successful wrestlers of all time.

His in-ring talent is known around the world and he has certainly had an amazing career in wrestling. However, as far as his WWE career is concerned, he didn't really fit in and while he did have a run on the main roster, things just didn't click for him.
5 Percy Watson
Percy Watson really was the life and soul of NXT season two. He had so much charisma and personality that it was very easy to like him and fans certainly gained a connection to him.
However, his actual in-ring career with WWE didn't really amount to much. But, Percy Watson did utilize his ability to talk as a commentator, working for NXT where he really was fantastic in the role.
4 Alex Riley
Alex Riley managed to put together a fairly memorable WWE career, but it really is a case of 'what could have been' with him. Rumors of backstage heat ended up costing Riley his spot in WWE, which was a real shame as he had everything it takes to be a top WWE Superstar.

He had a brilliant run alongside The Miz during his WWE Championship storyline and the two men feuded against each other to success as well. He became incredibly popular and he even had a good run in NXT as a commentator and a wrestler, but sadly politics seemed to cost him.
3 Titus O'Neil
Titus O'Neil was someone who showed tons of potential within NXT season two, mainly because of his personality and size. His WWE career has certainly had its ups and downs, but he is still under contract now and is a former Tag Team Champion.
As one half of the Prime Time Players, Titus had a lot of success and really enjoyed a great run alongside Darren Young. Titus has also been an incredible ambassador for the company as well, putting in tons of charity work.
2 Michael McGillicutty
Michael McGillicutty is someone who WWE had huge plans for due to the fact Mr. Perfect is his father. He was pushed heavily on the main roster early on, feuding with Triple H and working alongside Paul Heyman, holding the Intercontinental Championship.

While he didn't maintain that level of success, he has always had a role in the company. Whether he was working as a member of the Social Outcasts or being involved with The Miz, he's always had a place and McGillicutty has put together a solid WWE career.
1 Husky Harris
Without a doubt, the most successful member of the second season of NXT was Husky Harris. After being involved in the show, he was brought to the main roster as a member of New Nexus, but that didn't really work out for him.
However, Husky ended up transitioning when he returned to NXT, which was a regular show by that point, where he became Bray Wyatt. Since then he's been one of WWE's top stars and is a former WWE and Universal Champion.
Nowadays, Bray Wyatt is relishing in yet another change to his gimmick as he works as The Fiend. He's become one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster and has carved out a main event career for himself.
