AEW has often been criticized for the number of championships that it currently hosts. With several different divisions and the tendency to feature titles from other promotions from time to time too, it can feel a little crowded with gold.

One aspect of their title belts which rarely receives any criticism are the designs of said belts. AEW opted for a luxurious, prestigious, and throwback look to many of their titles, rather than the overly commercialized ones used in WWE. It is something that has proven to be a good decision from AEW, though it must be said that some title designs are better than others. This will look at all current designs of the championships in AEW, rather than previous or alternate versions.
8 FTW Championship
The FTW Championship may not be an “officially recognised” AEW title, but it has been featured and defended so much that it should be included within this conversation. The FTW belt was never one that was supposed to look grand, it was supposed to be more grungy and gritty, and it does that job.
That being said, the style of the belt is the least appealing one in the company. It has a lot of historical significance and changing up the design would be pointless at this stage of the belt’s lineage. It isn’t a bad design by any means, but when standing up against the other titles on the roster, it doesn’t hold up as well. It looks great around the waist of the likes of Hook.
7 AEW World Trios Championship
The Trios World Titles are among the newest belts introduced into the AEW fold. The designs are nice, though they have some small flaws. For instance, the middle plate feels a little flat, and the belts overall are smaller than some of the others in the company, making them feel a little less important.
It still has some intricate design within it though, and they have looked good with each of the champions thus far. There could arguably be more unique designs integrated into the belt, as the design doesn’t jump out as much as others.
6 AEW TBS Championship
The TBS Championship loses a place in this ranking due to it essentially being a copy of the TNT Championship. It is understandable as to why this is the case, but it couldn’t have hurt to make it a little more different.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the design, and it must be applauded with how well a TV station logo has been used into the belt without it being jarring, but it wouldn’t have hurt to make it less of a carbon copy of the men’s television championship. The belt is currently synonymous with the undefeated champion Jade Cargill, though the design could change much like the TNT belt if others hold the gold.
5 AEW TNT Championship
The TNT Championship has undergone several different striking designs, but the current design has been the most present and consistent. It is simple, but it does the job well. Much like the TBS Championship, the use of the “TNT” logo works seamlessly, and it doesn’t affect the way it looks by any means.
The mixture of red, black, and gold into the design is very effective and makes it look important. Even with some questionable booking over the last couple years, the look of this belt hasn’t faltered.
4 AEW Tag Team Championships
The AEW Tag Team Titles have undergone very minor and slight changes in design over the last three years or so,, but those have been noticeable alterations for the most part. The different textures and layers of this belt design are very effective, and it adds a lot of depth.
The belts have felt prestigious from day one, being held by several great teams like the Young Bucks, FTR, The Acclaimed, Lucha Bros, Jurassic Express, Kenny Omega & Adam Page, and The Gunns.
3 AEW International Championship
The more rectangular plates make this belt stand out in a big way. The added color provided from the globe in the middle and the various flags add to the theme of this title too. Arguably, this design is good enough to be a world title in another promotion.
Out of the non-world titles, this belt is the strongest in terms of design. It is still a young title in its first year of existence, with just two champions to date in PAC and Orange Cassidy, but it is already developing a strong reputation of great matches.
2 AEW World Championship
The AEW World Championship was striking from day one, and it has carved out a legacy for itself to the point where it will likely be memorable for many years to come. It is intricate, unique, and grand, containing all the ingredients for a stunning world championship belt.

The current iteration of the gold has MJF’s “burberry” style of strap, which does take it down a peg or two. The design itself is still great, but with the brownish strap instead of the classic black, it doesn’t quite work as well. Even with that negative, it is still up there with the very best, though it does just miss out on the top spot.
1 AEW Women’s World Championship
It took AEW a couple of attempts to finally get it right with the Women’s World Championship, but this current design is arguably the best of them all in AEW. It is sleek and beautiful, and though it has a similar template to the International Championship, it stands out in its own right.
It is by the cleanest belt despite its intricate design, and it is head and shoulders above the two previous versions of this title.
