Danielle Ruhl blames Love Is Blind producers for making her feel sicker in Mexico and not allowing her to see a doctor. Check out Danielle's claims.
Danielle Ruhl is blaming Love Is Blind season 2 producers for making her feel even sicker in Mexico and accusing them of depriving her and Nick Thompson of any water or access to a doctor. Danielle and Nick had a pretty perfect storyline in the Love Is Blind pods phase that ended up in them getting engaged by the end. However, things took a turn in Mexico when all the cast members were meant to meet one another for the first time but Danielle suddenly got very sick.
When Nick got back from the party, Love Is Blind showed Danielle feeling jealous about him having so much fun while she stayed back in their hotel room being sick. Without a doubt, this random behavior looked odd to viewers and seemed strange to Nick as well. The couple was able to resolve the situation the following day, but Danielle's behavior while feeling sick did scare Nick... or at least that's what fans were led to believe from the final edit of Love Is Blind season 2.
Now, Danielle has taken to Instagram to accuse the production team behind Love Is Blind of making her feel sicker during the couples' retreat in Mexico. She wrote in an Instagram Story (re-posted by fans on Reddit), "There were 2 days they stopped giving Nick and I water and food in Mexico." Danielle alleged that they had to sneak into a neighbor's room to get some nourishment from them. She added, "Me and Nick begged to leave Mexico because of how bad everything was. I was so sick coughing up blood but wasn't able to see a doctor." Everything worked out for Nick and Danielle on Love Is Blind, but these are pretty bold accusations that have been shared on social media.
Danielle then seemingly accused producers of trying to manufacture a storyline about her "hating herself" on the show. She explained, "Everyone made me believe that I should hate myself, and I didn't until they [engraved] it in my brain." It seems like she is accusing Love Is Blind producers of emotionally manipulating her into hating herself while filming. Danielle concluded the post with, "So watching what [you're] seeing is many [people] being tortured to fit a narrative preconceived." For someone who hasn't been that outspoken against the Love Is Blind production team in the past, this explosive statement from Danielle comes off as pretty shocking.
In the post-season, Shake has denounced his Love Is Blind edit many times. He's accused producers of playing favorites and portraying him in a very negative way. In turn, Danielle now seems to be exposing some behind-the-scenes details of Love Is Blind from her own perspective.
