The February 2 edition of AEW Dynamite kicked off with a recently-returned Jon Moxley scoring a pinfall victory over AEW upstart Wheeler YUTA. YUTA put up a fight, but he was no match for the new and improved Jon Moxley, who got the win after hitting YUTA with a Paradigm Shift. As Mox celebrated his win, Bryan Danielson entered the ring, mic in hand.

Danielson asked the crowd if they wanted to see himself and Mox fight. The crowd cheered, but Danielson proposed an alternative option: a Mox/Danielson partnership. Danielson suggested that he and Moxley join forces and take exciting youngsters under their wing in order to dominate AEW. That proposition is starting to bear fruit as Moxley, Danielson, and YUTA are now members of William Regal's Blackpool Combat Club ... and YUTA is already absorbing knowledge from his new mentors.

During a recent chat with Wrestling Inc's Nick Hausman, YUTA opened up about the promo lessons he's learning from Moxley and Danielson.

"It’s absolutely a part of my game that I have been working on, and been trying to improve, and they’ve been very helpful with a lot of that. It’s really cool to be able to stand there and do interviews with them,” the 25-year-old said. “On Dynamite, we did one before the match with The Gunn Club that aired that week on Rampage, and just being able to kind of discuss with them how they approach just doing interviews was mind-blowing to me," he continued.

YUTA said that Mox and Danielson's promo classes have been helpful, and he's in little doubt that his mic skills will improve as a result.

They’ll stand in front of mirrors and work on gestures, and things like that. Things that I never thought of, there’s drills for that, just like there’s drills for being in the ring. Being able to stand by them and learn from example watching them, and also having my little moments where I can interject my own verbiage or my own personality has been really helpful,” he said.
