Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa have taken to Twitter after putting on a violent main event to close out this week's Dynamite.

While AEW has been applauded for a lot of things during its first two years, fans have critiqued the company's women's division. It's the one area in which the fledgling promotion has struggled to find its feet. Since a chunk of it is made up of Japanese talent, the pandemic hasn't helped that. However, two of the division's standouts showed why they should have its spotlight going forward.

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa competed in a lights-out unsanctioned match to close Dynamite on Wednesday night. Well over a year into the show's run, it is the first time a women's match has headlined. After what happened, it will not be the last. Following months of Baker and Rosa bothering each other, they finally had the chance to get their hands on each other one on one, and it did not disappoint.

Since the match was unsanctioned, there were no rules. That resulted in Rosa quickly getting busted open. However, Rosa's crimson mask didn't compare to the one Baker was sporting during the latter stages of the match. Not to mention AEW's resident dentist bringing out the thumbtacks, and a lot of them.

Despite Baker's best efforts, she was eventually put through a table outside the ring and covered for a three-count by Rosa. Fans might well be worried about both wrestlers, especially Baker, after what was a more brutal match than most would have been expecting. Both women have checked in, and the DMD has implied that even though she lost, she's still not done with Rosa.

"The bad news is... you forgot to kill me," Baker tweeted, accompanied by a photo from Wednesday night with her face covered in blood. Baker also claimed she remains the face of AEW's women's division. Rosa then checked in by replying and telling Baker she is welcome to that title, as the former NWA Women's Champion wants to be the face of wrestling. At this point, it seems almost inevitable that one of these women will be the one to finally dethrone Hikaru Shida. Shida has been a champion in AEW for longer than anyone in the company's short history.
