Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti are officially engaged! Per TMZ, who broke the story, Guevara proposed to Conti in Paris, France just a few days after AEW's massive Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, at which they both performed.
Guevara and Conti -- everyone's favorite pro wrestling power couple -- went public with their relationship last December, just a few days after Guevara announced that he had parted ways with his high school sweetheart, Pam Nizio. As you might recall, Guevara proposed to Pam in the ring prior to an episode of Dynamite going live earlier that year. On Saturday, December 18, Sammy took to social media to announce that he and Pam had broken up.
"I know a lot of you have supported us for a long time and we have appreciated it so much over the past several years.” Guevara wrote, "Since you’ve all given us so much love and support we figured we owed it to y’all to let you know that we are no longer in a relationship. We still love each other and wish nothing but the best for one another. We would appreciate your kindness and respect our privacy during this time."

A few days later, Conti deleted her Twitter account after she was harassed by people who believed that she had something to do with Guevara and Nizio's engagement being called off.
"When I look at the mirror, I'm happy to see who I am and I'm proud of myself," Conti's statement read. "If you like my career, great you can stay but if you don't, just leave. One thing is for sure: HATERS WILL NOT TAKE MY HAPPINESS AWAY. I'm living my best life and bringing happiness to the people that enjoy my work."
On top of being engaged to be married, Conti and Guevara are also the reigning AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions. At Triplemania back in May, the AEW couple beat three other teams, including the now-former champions Arez and Chik Tormenta, though Guevara actually had very little to do with the match. The former TNT Champion claimed to be too injured from his ladder match on Wednesday to compete, having Parka Negra take his place.
