Nick Wayne, the 16-year-old second-generation wrestler who recently signed a contract with AEW, has revealed some details about his deal with the company, as well as when we can expect to see him set foot in an ALL ELITE ring for the very first time.

Just from now until I’m 18 years old, we’ve got about a year and a half left, I’m just working my hardest as I can right now,” Wayne said during a recent chat with Andrew Thompson. “So the day I turn 18 I’m ready to go. I look the part, my talent in the ring is crisp, you know. Just working to be the best version of myself.”

Nick Wayne is the son of the late Buddy Wayne, who tragically passed away in 2017 at the age of 50. Wayne signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling during the closing moments of DEFY's 5th-anniversary show on Saturday, February 12 in Seattle, Washington. The contract was presented to Wayne by his fellow Seattleite Darby Allin. On the prospect of a potential match with Allin in the future, Wayne is hopeful.

On a February edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that Wayne's AEW deal is akin to an apprenticeship, and Wayne will have to finish high school before he can join the AEW roster on a full-time basis.
