WrestleMania is one of the few nights in WWE where every almost every title gets defended every year. Some of these matches were also pretty important in the show's history, while others were pretty unmemorable.

As every wrestler has to defend their title at the show, a lot of the storylines don't get built properly. A lot of the times when new champions were crowned, they didn't get enough attention from the crowd, because their entire match was boring or the aftermath was also not good. The following are some of the recent examples when WWE wrestlers won a title at WrestleMania, and we don't even remember.

7 Finn Balor (WrestleMania 35)

Pretty much everything Finn Balor did on the main roster (except for winning the Universal Championship) was forgettable. After returning from injury, WWE never pushed Balor to the same level as before.

In 2019, Balor was in a feud with Bobby Lashley. He won the title from Bobby at Elimination Chamber but later lost it back to him on Raw. Finn became the number one contender once again and brought The Demon King at WrestleMania against Bobby but even then, his victory was forgettable. He didn't do much during his reign and lost the title to Nakamura at Extreme Rules.

6 Jinder Mahal (WrestleMania 34)

While Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship victory against Randy Orton will be remembered for a long time, though not for good reasons, his Intercontinental Title win at WrestleMania 34 was not very memorable.

Mahal won the title by defeating the champion Orton, Bobby Roode, and Rusev in a fatal-4-way match. He went to keep his title for eight days before losing it to Jeff Hardy on Raw. It was a forgettable championship win, and a short, equally forgettable run with the gold.

5 The Big Show (WrestleMania XXVIII)

The Big Show (WrestleMania 28)

After losing his World Heavyweight Championship in 2011, The Big Show feuded for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania XXVIII. Show was constantly being embarrassed by Cody Rhodes, who mocked him for his poor WrestleMania record.

Big Show finally lifted the title at WrestleMania by getting a victory over Cody, though his reign wasn't exciting by any stretch of the imagination. He lost the title merely four weeks later, back to Cody at Extreme Rules, and also got fired briefly for making fun of then-Raw General Manager, John Laurinaitis.

4 Billie Kay & Peyton Royce (WrestleMania 35)

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce were great as a tag team. They had years of chemistry working with each other and they just clicked. The IIconics challenged three other teams at WrestleMania 35 and went on to win the title.

While there was nothing wrong with them winning the title, the fact that The IIconics constantly lost matches on Raw and SmackDown hurt their image a lot. They were a good tag team, but their reign was far from good. The fact that they barely made it to programming as champions just made things worse.

3 The Miz (WrestleMania 29)

While The Miz may be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of the PG Era, his title victory at WrestleMania 29 was not rememberable. It happened during the pre-show, where Miz defeated Wade Barrett for the title.

This title change could've helped Miz in many ways. But the fact that he lost it back to Wade in 24 hours made The Awesome One's victory look pointless. Fortunately, most people don't remember it, instead choosing to focus on his other, far more memorable reigns as champion.

2 John Cena (WrestleMania 25)

An army of John Cena's were there when he made his entrance during WrestleMania 25. This was one of the most memorable things about him at that pay-per-view. Cena also lifted Edge and Big Show on his shoulder at the same time, and fans definitely liked that ridiculous feat of strength.

The actual triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Title was pretty much forgettable. Cena shouldn't even have been in the match, but he forced Vickie Guerrero to insert him into the bout by blackmailing her. He lost the title merely weeks after winning it, to Edge at Backlash.

1 Randy Orton (WrestleMania 33)

Randy Orton (WrestleMania 33)

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt had a weird rivalry in 2017. While the build up to their feud was good, their match at WrestleMania 33 was horrible. A lot went wrong there and when Orton beat the leader of the Wyatt Family for, it didn't really do any good to him. Everyone remembers that Wyatt lost the gold just weeks after winning it, but less people remember that he lost it to Orton.

These two had a rematch at Payback and it was probably the worst match of that year. The fact that it wasn't even for the gold, didn't help. To make things worse, Orton's title loss came at the hands of Jinder Mahal at Backlash and his reign was more far more memorable than that of The Viper's.
