Edge and AJ Styles will face each other in a dream match at WrestleMania 38. For the first time in history, these two legendary wrestlers will fight each other, as they have not even faced each other in house shows, tag team matches, or in another promotion. First time matchups are always something to get excited for, especially when they involve wrestling legends.RELATED: Why Edge Should Beat AJ Styles At WrestleMania 38 (& Why AJ Styles Should Prevail)Taking that into consideration, fans have probably wondered who is better between Edge and AJ Styles, and while that's a question that has no definitive answer, there are certain aspects that can help us reach a conclusion. Without further ado, let's take a look at five things Edge does better than AJ Styles and vice versa.
10 Edge: Mic Skills
Edge is an excellent talker, in fact, he is one of the best talkers in WWE today. Whether as a babyface or as a heel he knows very well how to cut the right promo at the right time. Throughout his career Edge has cut great, inspirational, cocky, arrogant and even emotional promos, and all are always compelling and entertaining. AJ Styles also has good mic skills, but that's not exactly his strong suit and, at least lately, he doesn't talk too much.
9 AJ Styles: In-Ring Skills
In this aspect AJ Styles and Edge are pretty close, as both are excellent performers and know how to put on a fantastic show. However, AJ Styles is slightly superior to Edge for a few reasons.

The Phenomenal has a very wide arsenal of moves, with flawless technique and a couple of great high-flying moves. AJ Styles is a safe, innovative and entertaining worker, so it's no wonder he has delivered several formidable matches throughout his career. Edge has also had many amazing matches, but many of them were tag team bouts.
8 Edge: In-Ring Psychology
Some people think Edge's facial expressions are exaggerated, and maybe they are from time to time, but most of the time his expressions and attitude make the match feel like a real fight. Edge's body language makes you think he's fighting for his life, as Edge's in-ring psychology is among the best in the world, that’s for sure. AJ Styles, on the other hand, doesn't convey that feeling of passion in his matches, and he is much less expressive.
7 AJ Styles: Playing A Heel
It's impossible for us all to agree on this one, but you have to admit that, at least currently, the heel version of Edge is no big deal. Certainly, The Rated R Superstar was one of the best heels of all time in the 2000s, but these days he's a pretty basic and drab heel.

AJ Styles seems to feel comfortable while playing a heel, showing a cocky and arrogant persona, and at least for this program at WrestleMania 38, perhaps it would have been better if AJ had turned heel instead of Edge.
6 Edge: Playing A Face
As mentioned earlier, this feud between Edge and AJ Styles could have worked better with the roles reversed. People love AJ Styles, and it will be very easy for fans to root for him at the Show of Shows, but Edge as a babyface is simply a whole new level. Edge is extremely charismatic and is genuinely loved in countless corners of the globe. Perhaps babyface Edge versus heel AJ Styles would have been a better choice.
5 AJ Styles: Finisher
Truth be told, Edge's Spear is one of the weakest ever, especially now that he's old and doesn't have the same explosiveness as before. The Edgecution is a bit better, mostly because it's unpredictable at times.
While AJ Styles' Phenomenal Forearm is pretty cool, and the Styles Clash also looks absolutely devastating. To top it off, AJ Styles also often uses the Calf Crusher, a very effective submission move. AJ Styles has better finishers than Edge, no doubt about it.
4 Edge: Gimmick
One of AJ Styles’ biggest weaknesses is his character, as it is good but nothing special, nothing outstanding. AJ Styles’ gimmick is even boring at times, and that may be fault of WWE’s booking, but the truth is that his character work is not great, to say the least.
Edge’s gimmick, in the other hand, is still pretty cool. Obviously, he is no longer the star of R-rated segments or anything like that, but his persona is still amazing and, most importantly, pretty entertaining.
3 AJ Styles: Versatility
AJ Styles has the uncanny ability to have good matches with any opponent, just like Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels. Styles is truly phenomenal in the ring, and he can adapt to his opponent's wrestling style with no problem. Styles has proven that he can work very well with the likes of John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, Riddle, and even less experienced wrestlers like Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
Also, it should be remembered that AJ Styles has worked for various promotions around the world, adapting to the circumstances of each place he goes. For example, Japanese wrestling is very different from American wrestling, but for AJ Styles that was no problem.
2 Edge: WWE Legend
Despite all the adversities Edge went through in his career, including a neck injury that kept him out of the ring for 10 years, he managed to become a true WWE legend. Edge was a game changer for WWE's tag team division, as well as giving meaning and value to the Money In The Bank briefcase, he is also one of three wrestlers who have won the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber multiple times. We simply can't get into how much Edge has contributed to the company, as he is a larger-than-life character.
1 AJ Styles: Career
AJ Styles is certainly not a WWE legend yet, but he has had a phenomenal career. Styles is arguably the best wrestler in TNA history, he had great times in New Japan Pro Wrestling and has had a very good WWE career. AJ Styles has delivered masterful matches, won tons of titles and became an icon wherever he went. Edge has also had an illustrious career, of course, but overall, he's a step below AJ.
