Unintentional humor is one of the least desired responses anyone wants from something they put effort in. WWE has a long history of ups and downs from their intended plans playing out on television. Quite a few feuds were not meant to provide laughter, but the audience found humor in the way WWE chose to execute the program.RELATED: 10 WCW Feuds That Were Unintentionally HilariousSome of the most talented and important figures in wrestling found their way on the negative side of storytelling. The rivalries that were meant to bring intensity, drama or generally compelling content led to more laughter than anything else. Each situation had its own reason for things falling apart, but the one common trend was that they all were unintentionally funny to viewers.
10 Hulk Hogan Vs Shawn Michaels
WWE booked Hulk Hogan vs Shawn Michaels as a major dream match to main event SummerSlam 2005. The fan interest was obviously there to see two of the biggest WWE legends having a match for the first time in their careers.

However, most of the better segments to build the match featured a hilarious short-lived heel Michaels. Moments like Michaels faking out a Montreal crowd with Bret Hart’s entrance theme or parodying Hogan on Larry King Live were hilarious. The match itself featured an angry Michaels overselling comically due to backstage frustration with Hogan.
9 Braun Strowman Vs Shane McMahon
Shane McMahon returned to WWE television in time for WrestleMania 37 season to build a feud with Braun Strowman. The entire program was odd with Shane mocking Braun’s intelligence and having long awkward segments with him breathing heavily on the microphone.
Strowman’s childhood experience getting bullied was meant to be a huge part of the story since McMahon was mocking him for things outside of the ring. The entire feud felt pointless with unintentional humor as the best result from it.
8 Kane Vs Fake Kane
WWE struggled to find ideal storylines for Kane as he got deeper into his career and the character started to lose some of its luster. A masked version of Kane sporting his old look started tormenting the now bald unmasked Kane in 2006.
The hope was that it created interest from the audience with a movie-like story of a horror scenario scaring Kane. Fans mocked the entire angle since the fake Kane looked foolish and got squashed in their one match. Luke Gallows played the character and luckily was able to escape it before too long.
7 Ronda Rousey Vs Charlotte Flair
The recent return of Ronda Rousey has been a huge disappointment for WWE. Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38 and fell just short in a below average match.
Fans have taken notice of Rousey looking out of it and lacking that same buzz from her first time. Cold promos made them both foolish, but it has turned into comedy since then. Charlotte and Ronda each attacking Drew Gulak during the build has been more humorous than showing their skill for an upcoming “I Quit” match.
6 Big Show Vs The Big Boss Man
WWE booking Big Show to win the WWE Championship came out of nowhere when replacing Steve Austin in a triple threat match to defeat The Rock and Triple H. The title reign never worked out due to Big Show’s one major feud as champ completely flopping.
Creative made The Big Boss Man an even more hated heel by crossing the line in his feuds. Boss Man mocked the death of Big Show’s father and revealed that Big Show was an illegitimate son. The ridiculous booking showed moments like Boss Man crashing the funeral and Big Show jumping on the casket as Boss Man tied it to the back of his truck.
5 Triple H Vs Scott Steiner
Scott Steiner coming to WWE in 2002 was a huge signing that saw him getting a monster pop for attacking Matt Hardy and Chris Nowinski. WWE used that pop to set up Steiner with the biggest possible feud to start his WWE tenure after the WCW main event success.

Triple H feuded with Steiner for months over the World Championship. WWE wanted it to feel like a big-time program since Raw was falling behind Smackdown in the ratings. Arm wrestling contests, pose challenges, and horrible matches made everyone laugh rather than watch with captivated interest.
4 Nia Jax Vs Lana
WWE started off the Lana vs Nia Jax program with the story of a bully tormenting an underdog character. Lana trying to become a successful wrestler saw Jax putting her through a commentary table every single week as a punishment.
The running bit became a joke since fans now expected it and the spot sometimes came out of nowhere. Nia’s infamous “my hole” line was said during this feud to add another unplanned comedic element. Lana getting her revenge did elicit a positive reaction, but it was also due to fans loving the hilarity involved.
3 Finn Balor Vs Bray Wyatt
The summer of 2017 featured Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt having feud with their unique characters. Wyatt covering Balor in a bucket of blood like a horror movie came off corny and had fans laughing rather than being invested in Finn’s revenge.
The Demon alter ego of Balor scoring a victory over Wyatt was the peak of the feud. WWE however tried to continue it with the concept of Bray becoming the Sister Abigail alter ego to face Finn with an orange themed demon face paint. The match was canceled due to Wyatt suffering an illness and was never mentioned again.
2 Gene Snitsky Vs Kane
WWE tried to make the Kane vs Gene Snitsky feud a serious program to get the newcomer over. Kane was a face character after Lita fell for him to develop a real relationship after he forced her into marriage as a heel.
The couple expecting a child saw Snitsky tormenting them and at one point accidentally causing Lita to lose her child. Snitsky claiming “it wasn’t (his) fault” turned into a hilarious one-liner. WWE witnessed it becoming unintentional comedy and tried to lean in it towards the end. Snitsky never got over the way WWE wanted due to this angle missing the mark.
1 Chris Jericho Vs Dean Ambrose
Chris Jericho took pride in his recent WWE stints to try to help new stars get over more from working with him. Dean Ambrose entered a personal rivalry with Jericho that featured them having brutal attacks on each other.
Jericho revealed he was upset with the creative of the feud since Ambrose having his own potted plant named Mitch had the audience laughing. “Mitch” chants for Jericho hitting Ambrose with the plant showed how the feud was impacted. Even though they put their bodies on the line in an Ambrose Asylum match, the audience laughed more than they found this feud intense.
