WWE loves to create their tag teams out of thin air. It could be out of a rivalry, where they are forced to co-exist, or just randomly pairing two superstars together.
Some of these tag teams will never happen due to contracts, real life heat, or style of wrestling. That is unfortunate, as these tag teams are diamonds in the rough of WWE's jumbled tag team division.

These superstars could already be in an established tag team, or they could be a notorious singles wrestler. However, these ten tag teams are purely fantasy meaning current tag teams and brands are discounted, but they could end up being the next RK-Bro if these two superstars did decide to team up.
10 John Morrison and Ricochet
These two men are not only high-flying babyfaces currently floating in monotony, but they have history with one another as well.
In Lucha Underground — during Morrison’s stint away from WWE and right before WWE signed Ricochet in early 2018 — these two men had superb matches together. Under the names of Johnny Mundo and Prince Puma, respectively, they lit up Lucha Underground with critically acclaimed matches.
The two men have squared off in WWE a handful of times, and each shone in 2021’s Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Together, they could excite the audience with their unmatched athleticism and bumping ability.
9 Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville
This fantasy team is almost an exception to the list due to the fact that it seems as if WWE is building towards creating this team already through the Naomi V. Sonya Deville storyline that has also heavily involved Baszler doing Deville’s dirty work for her.
Even before this storyline came to be, these two women could be seen as a potentially great women’s tag team.
Deville and Baszler each have backgrounds in MMA, and have transitioned well into the world of professional wrestling. Together, they could help revitalize an extremely shallow women’s tag team division.
8 Shayna Baszler and Bayley
Another tag team that Shayna Baszler could thrive in, is one with Bayley.
This would be an odd couple tag team, but it could be exectured through Bayley’s great character work. Bayley could essentially be the annoying, pesky heel of the team, while Baszler is the heavy.
Each of these women can go in the ring, but having this team form while Bayley is still recovering from injury, allowing Bayley to stand ringside while Baszler competes until Bayley is ready to return to action would be a clever introduction.
7 Happy Corbin and Seth Rollins
This fantasy team makes so much sense when the reader looks at each man’s character.
Happy Corbin is a man who hit it big on the lottery after going broke, and now he can’t get enough of himself or of his life. Seth Rollins is a man who is so narcissistic that his losses or shortcomings seemingly do not affect him.

Although the men feuded for months in 2019 over Rollins’ Universal Championship, their current characters would almost certainly be able to move past that. The promos for the team would likely just be each man laughing into a microphone wearing outlandish outfits until the team they are feuding with comes out to interrupt.
6 Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn
This team would be similar to Rollins and Corbin’s team. Both Rollins and Zayn’s characters are blinded by their views of themselves.
Zayn’s character may not seem to be a necessarily happy character, but he is narcissistic in the same way Rollins is. With this team, the audience could even see Rollins bring Zayn out of his conspiracy into full blown blasphemy.

Rollins and Zayn would also be a team that could back-up their words in the ring, and would be a team the audience would love to see get their comeuppance courtesy of a babyface team.
5 Finn Balor and AJ Styles
This is a team that many fans have been dreaming of ever since AJ Styles signed with WWE in 2016, given their connected backgrounds prior to WWE.
Each man was at one time the leader of Bullet Club in NJPW, and have been seemingly intertwined since. While they have never had a full feud in WWE, they did have an exceptional, impromptu match at TLC 2017 when Styles had to fill in for an injured Bray Wyatt.
Ever since, fans have been salivating for another match between the two. Instead, WWE could tease the match, only for the two men to come together and have their own version of Bullet Club in WWE, being the two figureheads.
The matches they would have as a team would no doubt be incredible week in and week out, as well as a rich story to bring this team to main event status.
4 Bianca Belair and Naomi
Think about how fun this team would be. Both of these women bring intangible energy to every segment they take place in.
Bianca Belair and Naomi have only ever had an exchange in a couple Women's Royal Rumbles. Other than that, their interactions on camera have been slim to none.
Belair has stated that Naomi is one of her biggest inspirations, and each of these women are charismatic to the highest degree. They can hold their own in the ring and would no doubt be a team the WWE Universe could get behind.
3 Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre
This tag team may be surprising for two reasons. One being that Brock Lesnar is not known as a tag team wrestler, and the other being that these two men have main evented WrestleMania against each other.

However, this team would bring so much physicality and natural charisma. It can easily be envisioned, seeing McIntyre and Lesnar go eye-to-eye to psych themselves up going into war side by side.
The men would be an unstoppable force, and would bring instant credibility to WWE’s tag team division. The team would inevitably break up to feud again, but this would be a great way to get back to their feud.
2 Brock Lesnar and Shinsuke Nakamura
This is another team that could be formed coming out of a match.
Hardcore WWE fans have been longing for this match to take place, yet it has not in the WWE, although the two did clash in NJPW in 2003. Shortly after their match, they teamed up just once in NJPW.
This team could be more than meets the eye.
Shinsuke’s eccentric energy would be perfect to bounce off of Lesnar’s straight man personality, which in turn could cause Lesnar to show more personality, resulting in comedic exchanges. In the ring, this team would likely be the toughest, most legitimate team in the entire WWE.
1 Kevin Owens and Edge
This team is a match made in heaven.
Both men are known for their unhinged pasts. Beyond that, both are Canadian, veterans, family men, excellent promos, and both are exceptional workers.
This is a dream team purely from a promo standpoint, then you get to their personalities. So many parallels can be drawn, where you compare the Ultimate Opportunist and The Prizefighter.
They will turn on anyone to get what they want, and turning each man heel to create a psychotic superteam would be a stroke of genius. Their eventual feud could, in-turn, be legendary.
